Actor Kim Dong-wook announced the news of his daughter's birth.
On the 28th episode of KBS1's Morning Yard segment "Happy Friday Ssangssang Party," the lead actors of the film The Upstairs Neighbors, Ha Jung-woo, Gong Hyo-jin, Kim Dong-wook, Lee Ha-nui, and comedians Eom Ji-yoon and Kwak Beom appeared.
That day Kim Dong-wook, asked "You're going to be a father. When is the due date?", replied "Very soon. Early next year. The sex is a daughter," and received congratulations.
Lee Ha-nui, who gave birth to her second daughter last August, said, "I found out I was pregnant with my second child a week before we started filming, so I couldn't tell anyone at first. But there was a dinner scene in the shoot, and because it was early and I had morning sickness, I couldn't say anything and felt embarrassed. I would be midline during my lines and gag," sharing behind-the-scenes details of the film shoot.
Hearing this, Kim Dong-wook said, "I learned while experiencing it myself. I thought morning sickness would end quickly. But fortunately my wife had morning sickness and a strong appetite at the same time, so she endured it healthily," drawing attention.
Earlier, in December 2023 Kim Dong-wook married global marketer Stella Kim, a former SM Entertainment trainee, at Myeongdong Cathedral in Jung-gu, Seoul. At the time of the wedding announcement she was introduced only as "a talent with beauty," but her identity was revealed later, drawing great interest.
