'I AM BOXER' is previewing heart-pounding matches between boxers.
tvN 'I AM BOXER' (directed by Lee Won-woong, writer Kang Sook-kyung) ranked 9th worldwide in the Disney+ TV shows institutional sector on FlixPatrol, an OTT platform content viewing ranking aggregator site, as of Mon, the 24th, and rose to No. 1 in Korea as of Wed, Nov. 26, highlighting its popularity.
In tonight's (the 28th) episode 2, during the ongoing first fight 1 vs. 1 decider, a challenge unfolds that surpasses the age of actor Jang Hyuk, who was born in 1976. His opponent is actor Lee Do-woon, born in 1999, who prepared as a boxing elite athlete for three years and said he nurtured his dream of becoming an action actor while watching Jang Hyuk, drawing interest to the uniquely narrated clash between the two boxers.
In particular, before the match, MC Kim Jong-kook, a close friend of Jang Hyuk, rises from his seat and moves forward, and he is shown making a worried face, saying, "I'm really going crazy." Also, a preview video captures Jang Hyuk bleeding, raising questions about what happened and whether Jang Hyuk will survive.
The result of the bout between Myung Hyun-man and Jeong Da-woon, considered the strongest physical competitors in Korea, will also be revealed. In last week's broadcast, Jeong Da-woon drew attention by collapsing after taking Myung Hyun-man's cannonball punch. Viewers are left wondering whether the changed gaze of Jeong Da-woon and Myung Hyun-man will lead to a brutal brawl and a reversal of the atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the second fight, a 6 vs. 6 punch race, will kick off in that episode. Survivors from the first fight form teams of six and must knock down 100 sandbags solely by punching. The winning team all survive, but the losing team is entirely eliminated, so a fierce battle ensues as boxers throw punches to stay alive. Above all, there are contestants who surprised master Ma Dong-seok, MC Kim Jong-kook, and Dex with an ultra-close finish, raising expectations even higher.
