Broadcaster Park Mi-sun revealed a tense moment after her first round of chemotherapy.
On the 28th, a video titled "Seulgi's fight against illness diary-1 becoming a cancer patient overnight" was posted on Park Mi-sun's YouTube channel "I am Park Mi-sun."
In the video, Park Mi-sun said, "I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Dec. 2024 and began chemotherapy in Jan. 2025. I documented my time fighting the illness on video. I hope many fellow patients find strength watching this video and that it helps even a little."
Before starting chemotherapy, Park Mi-sun took a family trip to Gangneung. Without a selfie stick, she buried her phone in the sand to take family photos, and the family enjoyed a quiet time together on an empty beach. Lee Bong-won ran around taking pictures of the family, and at night he, his son and daughter set off fireworks on the beach for Park Mi-sun at the hotel.
After finishing the Gangneung trip by leaving their first family four-cut photo and starting chemotherapy, Park Mi-sun reported her condition, saying, "I hear burgers don't make you gain weight as much as expected," and "I had my first chemotherapy, and luckily the hospital gave me an antiemetic injection and various medications, so my nausea is okay. So far I'm fine. I think I have a bit of an appetite, my blood pressure is a little low and I'm a bit dizzy, but otherwise I'm okay."
Park Mi-sun said she struggled a lot because one of the side-effect medicines didn't agree with her. She said, "I almost died and came back yesterday. Since my stomach didn't hurt, I felt like I could live, and they say you recover about a week after the first chemo, and it was like a lie in reverse. Today I finally prepared a meal with my daughter and ate a lot of snacks." Park Mi-sun also played wagers with Lee Bong-won on a newly purchased game console, and Lee Bong-won showed attentive care by preparing meals for Park Mi-sun himself.
