'Save me! Homes' featured Yoon Eun-hye expressing gratitude she had long kept in her heart.
The episode aired on the 27th on MBC's 'Save me! Homes', where Yoon Eun-hye and Hwang Chan-sung set out on a 'gukbap road in Seoul' location shoot, and while touring houses Yoon Eun-hye cautiously brought up the work that changed her acting career and her connection to it.
In that episode, the exploration continued linking gukbap and residential areas centered on long-standing local markets such as Majang Market·Geumnam Market. At a detached house in Dapsimni, everyone admired Jang Dong-min's explanation that the homeowner 'butchers meat every morning and even handles online distribution,' and seeing the owner's unique hobbies revealed throughout the house, Yoon Eun-hye and Hwang Chan-sung kept expressing surprise, saying, 'This changes your idea of a home.'
After moving to Geumhodong, while introducing an apartment that finished remodeling in 2024, the two talked about 'the work that helped most in living in your current home.'
At that moment Yoon Eun-hye revealed a long-hidden confession. 'Thanks to Coffee Prince 1st Shop I shot nothing but commercials for two years. Cosmetics, shampoo… I was really fortunate that work poured in,' she said. She recalled that she literally lived like a commercial queen at the time, and then expressed special feelings for co-star Gong Yoo.
Yoon Eun-hye said, 'Gong Yoo oppa filmed a bunch of commercials before he joined the military. I benefited greatly from that. He is truly my benefactor. Even now I am so grateful, and meeting the work that changed my life makes me happy,' conveying her sincerity.
Yoon Eun-hye was born in 1984 and is the same age as announcer Kim Dae-ho. She debuted at 16 in third year of middle school as a member of Baby V.O.X, and as an actress she began full-fledged acting when she took her first leading role in the drama 'Gung.' Later in 'Coffee Prince,' several scenes, including the still-discussed 'dopamine explosion' kiss scene, became hot topics and she enjoyed her greatest heyday in her 20s.
At the end of the broadcast, when asked 'what kind of character do you want to play in the future?' she said, 'I want to try a passionate love story, and before I get older I want to challenge action roles,' revealing her appetite for new challenges.
Even now, 18 years later, Yoon Eun-hye says 'Gong Yoo oppa is a benefactor,' and whenever she recalls that time she conveyed through the broadcast the heartfelt sincerity that comes from deep inside.
