A person identified as A, who exposed actor Lee Yi-kyung's private life rumors, appears to have conspired to commit a crime in advance. After receiving such a tip, Lee Yi-kyung's side forwarded the related information to their legal representative. The authenticity of the tip DM, sms and the police investigation process are expected to make this clear.
On the 27th, according to OSEN reporting, recently Lee Yi-kyung's agency Sangyoung ENT received evidence from an anonymous tipster that contained indications of A's criminal plotting.
The tipster contacted Lee Yi-kyung's agency saying they knew A well, and in the process they captured and shared the Instagram DM content that A had exchanged.
According to the screenshots, A said, "If I send an email to Lee Yi-kyung's company and demand about 1 billion won, would that work?", "That shitty company pays low salaries, I didn't have enough living expenses and I even sold my phone," appearing to plan an extortion scheme against Lee Yi-kyung. In addition, A added, "I asked chat gpt and it said I wouldn't be punished," and, "Let's send it first and if it turns out bad we can apologize."
In particular, A's profile photo in the screenshots matched the SNS account profile photo of A that was revealed on the YouTube channel 'Entertainment Vice President Lee Jin-ho' on the 26th, which added credibility.
Earlier, A said on YouTube, "Among the contacts I have received so far, it was so absurd that I sent an email to verify whether it was really Lee Yi-kyung. Lee Yi-kyung seems like a nice person, and I emailed the company in case it was hacked. I received contact from actor Lee Yi-kyung and became certain it was him," and insisted, "The email sent to the agency was not a threat. I never asked for money." Meanwhile, evidence that contradicts that claim has emerged, and a backlash is expected. However, it has not been confirmed whether the voice on YouTube is actually A's.
Lee Yi-kyung's agency confirmed that after receiving such a tip they forwarded it to their legal representative. The authenticity of the tip DM is expected to be clarified more clearly during the police investigation process. There are also additional pieces of evidence, but since it is still in the investigation stage they are not being disclosed.
Separately, last month Lee Yi-kyung faced trouble when a post emerged from A, who claims to be German, exposing his private life. A uploaded screenshots of explicit messages and photos claimed to be conversations with Lee Yi-kyung, and Lee Yi-kyung's side, through an official statement, denied the allegations and said they were preparing legal action over spreading false information and malicious rumors.
Amid this, A suddenly apologized, saying, "At first I started the post as a joke and I didn't expect it to attract so much attention. As I kept writing posts and using AI photos, I gradually began to believe them myself. I'm truly sorry for spreading it like a malicious rumor about actor Lee Yi-kyung." In response, Lee Yi-kyung's side said, "Through our legal representative, we have submitted victim materials and filed a complaint with Seoul Gangnam Police Station against the authors and disseminators of the related posts on charges of spreading false information and defamation," and emphasized, "There were no attempts at settlement or compensation discussions, and there will be no such attempts in any form going forward."
Separately, Lee Yi-kyung withdrew from MBC's Hangout With Yoo and was also unable to join the planned KBS2 show The Return of SUPERMAN. A continued to reverse statements, and recently claimed, "AI cannot generate celebrity photos and I never used it that way. All the evidence I posted was real."
