Jungkook's solo songs surpassed 10 billion cumulative streams on Spotify.
According to the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify, the cumulative streams of solo songs Jungkook released under his own name exceeded 10 billion (as of Nov. 25). This is the first for a Korean solo artist.
In particular, Jungkook's first solo album released in Nov. 2023, "GOLDEN," was streamed more than 6.4 billion times, once again proving his overwhelming global popularity. It is also notable that every track on the album surpassed 100 million streams.
Jungkook is consecutively setting records as the first Korean solo artist on Spotify. The solo single "Seven (feat. Latto)" shot to No. 1 on Spotify's "Daily Top Songs Global." This was the first No. 1 for a K-pop solo artist. The song was streamed 15,995,378 times on its first day alone, becoming the most streamed K-pop solo song on its first day of release. It later ranked third on Spotify's chart of "most streamed songs of summer 2023 (global)." Currently, the song continues its historic run as the first song by a Korean artist to surpass 2.6 billion cumulative streams.
In addition, Jungkook's title track from "GOLDEN," "Standing Next to You," his collaboration with Charlie Puth, "Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS)," and the solo single "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)" have surpassed 1.3 billion, 1.1 billion, and 1.0 billion cumulative streams, respectively. He has four songs that exceeded 1 billion streams, which is also the most for a K-pop solo artist.
In this way, Jungkook has solidified his presence in the global music market. With music that transcends genres and broad mass appeal, he is loved by listeners around the world. On top of that, he communicates even more closely with ARMY (the fandom name) by hosting live broadcasts on the global superfans platform Weverse using familiar themes like gaming, cooking and singing.
