Group VVUP (VVUP) showcased a commanding, super model–worthy charm.
VVUP (Kim, Paen, Suyeon, Jiyoon) uploaded the performance video for the title track Super Model from their mini album VVON to their official YouTube channel on the 27th.
The released video shows VVUP receiving dazzling spotlights amid countless camera flashes. VVUP drew attention with powerful yet flexible synchronized dancing over a rhythmic beat driven by electronic drums and dance synths.
VVUP displayed a commanding charisma as "super models" with movements that resembled walking a runway. Based on strengthened teamwork, VVUP's outstanding ability to embody the concept shone even more.
In particular, Vietnamese Gen Z creator Phuong Vu directed the performance video after directing the music video, infusing it with his distinctive, unique visual style. Dynamic camera movements maximized the energy VVUP possesses.
Meanwhile, VVUP's mini album VVON is a title born from the combination of the three words VIVID, VISION and ON, carrying the meaning "the moment the light turns on." Inspired by the pronunciation similarity to Born and the spelling similarity to Won, VVUP developed a narrative of being born, awakening and overcoming.
With VVON, VVUP topped the iTunes R&B/soul charts in Indonesia and Thailand, and the title track Super Model also reached the top of the Apple Music chart in Qatar, proving strong global popularity.
Growth in Latin America is also notable. VVON ranked high on the Apple Music K-pop charts in Brazil and Portugal, and in Mexico's iTunes chart it placed 4 Life, Locked on, INVESTED IN YOU, Super Model and House Party—successfully lining up multiple entries on the charts, raising expectations for future activities.
