I decided to become a model," saying she did modeling activities before becoming an actor.
Responding to the comment that she gave a strong 'Believer' impression, Jin Seo-yeon said, "I was unknown for a long time. Actress Han Hyo-joo recommended 'Believer.' When I was going to prepare for the audition I said, 'If this doesn't work out, let's leave Korea this time.' I set myself up like the ('Believer') character and went. I said everything I wanted to say. They immediately said let's do it together. In the script there is 'takes drugs and dances.' She showed the drug reaction with a yoga pose and it was creepy, she said."
Asked what she did for her parents after earning money, Jin Seo-yeon said, "When I was 27 I bought my mother a house. I was unknown but continued as an advertising model. Work kept coming. I took out a loan and bought an apartment in Sangam-dong at 370 million won at the time," she said. Kim Sook and Lee Young-ja envied her, saying the house price must have risen tremendously, but Jin Seo-yeon said, "I had no sense at the time. No one was living there so I sold it."
