On the 27th, the mother of actor Kim Sae-ron, who died in February this year, said she filed a disciplinary request against attorney for Kim Soo-hyun with the Korean Bar Association and the Seoul Bar Association.
The deceased's mother said through Law Firm Buyou that "after countless deliberations, we issued a statement yesterday, but what came back were insults such as ridicule and sneers at Sae-ron and the bereaved family by attorney Go Sang-rok, the legal representative of Kim Soo-hyun," and stated accordingly.
The deceased's mother said, "Attorney Go Sang-rok insulted Sae-ron on his social media (SNS) by calling her a 'bipolar crazy person,' a 'mentally unstable slut,' and a 'minor slut,'" and "as for the bereaved family, he sneered or mocked us by saying, 'You are really, astonishingly, protecting the deceased's honor so well,' and 'those people who threw the deceased's honor to the dogs.'"
She added, "Accordingly, we filed a petition today with the Korean Bar Association and the Seoul Bar Association seeking discipline against attorney Go Sang-rok."
She said, "Even after the statement was issued, Kim Soo-hyun's fans have not stopped secondary harm, and they are posting malicious comments telling us not to delay the investigation, such as to hurry up and be questioned or to submit the phone," and "we faithfully completed all questioning by July, and we voluntarily submitted all electronic devices, including Sae-ron's cell phone, and cooperated with the investigation."
Kim Soo-hyun's side filed a criminal complaint against Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family and others who claimed he dated the deceased when she was a minor, and also filed a civil lawsuit worth 12 billion won. In response, the bereaved family filed a counter-complaint in May accusing Kim Soo-hyun of violating the Child Welfare Act and of false accusation.
