SBS '웃음을 찾는 사람들' alumnus and beloved comedian Choi Guk transformed into his sub-character "Choi Guk-ja" and appeared in the music video teaser for Seosajang SSJ (singer Seo Yoon)'s new song "Chonggyeong Banjeom".
The "Chonggyeong Banjeom" teaser, released on the 27th on music distributor Danal Entertainment's official YouTube channel and Seosajangtv, features Choi Guk as "Choi Guk-ja" in a flashy leopard-print outfit and long wavy hair. Appearing at the start of the music video with the line "Moshi moshi, Chonggyeong Banjeom," Choi Guk aroused curiosity about the song's content with his characteristic cheeky charm.
Comedian Choi Guk gained popularity hosting the "Conversation Man (a man who gets angry on behalf of others)" segment on tbs radio's "Choi Il-gu's Hurricane" alongside former MBC anchor Choi Il-gu. On his YouTube channel, he also grabbed attention by introducing the alluring(?) female sub-character "Choi Guk-ja." Seosajang SSJ's side said that "Choi Guk and [they] personally bought the leopard-print outfit and long wig together at Namdaemun Market, creating 'Choi Guk-ja'," sharing the backstory.
Seosajang SSJ released the socially satirical digital single "Chonggyeong Banjeom" one year after the April 3 release of "Gangbyeon Station" with Shinbaram Lee Doctor last year. "Chonggyeong Banjeom" draws on subjects such as the case of Seoul National University student and martyr Park Jong-chul, who died under torture in Namyeong-dong during the 1980 democratization movement, and incidents related to actor the late Lee Seon-gyun. The single will be released at noon on the 28th on various music sites.
