Comedian Jeong Jun-ha expressed deep condolences for the late Lee Soon-jae, with whom he played a father and son in "High Kick!".
On the 25th Jeong Jun-ha posted a long message on his YouTube channel "Jeong Jun-ha haha," saying "I feel deep sorrow upon hearing the news that Lee Soon-jae has passed away."
The accompanying photo showed the two of them during the time they played father and son in the sitcom.
Jeong Jun-ha wrote, "I still vividly remember how he always treated people warmly on set and genuinely cared for his juniors," and "It is so heartbreaking and heavy to have to let go of such a great star who devoted his life to Korean theater and broadcasting."
He added, "In honor of Lee Soon-jae's memory, I will take a day off from uploading the content that was scheduled for today," and directly announced the postponement of the content release.
Jeong Jun-ha and the late Lee Soon-jae met as father and son on "High Kick!" and continued a close relationship in real life. Jeong Jun-ha called Lee Soon-jae "father," and the late actor was so close that he officiated at Jeong Jun-ha's wedding in 2012.
Meanwhile, Lee Soon-jae passed away in the early morning of the 25th at the age of 91. The funeral was set up in Room 30 of the Asan Medical Center funeral hall in Seoul, the funeral procession is scheduled for 6:20 a.m. on the 27th, and the burial site is Eden Paradise in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.
