Broadcaster Harisu expressed deep condolences upon learning of the death of the late Lee Soon-jae.
On the 25th, Harisu said on her social media account, "Senior Lee Soon-jae, thank you for giving so much inspiration over the years. Your refusal to lose your passion for acting on stage and in front of the camera set an example for all juniors," she said.
She added, "I will long remember your deep acting and warm smile, and your sincerity as an actor. Rest peacefully in heaven. I pray for the eternal repose of the deceased senior. My deepest condolences."
Actor Lee Soon-jae passed away in the early morning of the 25th. Born in 1934 in Hoeryong, North Hamgyong Province, Lee Soon-jae debuted in 1956 with the play 'Beyond the Horizon' and went on to appear in dramas such as 'Donguibogam', 'See and See Again', 'The Era of Three Kims', 'Men of the Bathhouse', 'The Rustic Period', 'Toji', 'Samo-gok', 'Heo Jun', 'Sangdo', 'Yi San', 'High Kick! The Revenge of the Short Legged', 'High Kick Through the Roof', 'Nonsense', and in plays such as 'Long Live the Reunion', 'Grandpa Henry and I', 'King Lear', and 'Waiting for Godot.'
Lee Soon-jae's funeral wake is in Room 30 of the Asan Medical Center funeral hall, and the funeral procession is at 6:20 a.m. on the 27th. The burial site is Eden Paradise in Icheon.
