KOYOTE member Shinji, who announced her wedding next year, addressed rumors about her fiancé Moonwon and explained them personally.
On the 24th, a new video was released on the YouTube channel 'A-class Jang Young-ran' titled "The hidden backstory of the 'Shinji♥Moonwon wedding' that the entire nation opposed (first reveal)".
That day Jang Young-ran opened up about Shinji's wedding announcement that had become a topic of conversation, and Shinji said, "I wasn't the one who announced the wedding; I was the one who had it done to me. On the day of the wedding shoot, without any dating rumors, there was an article saying we were shooting, and that's how it came out."
Jang Young-ran asked, "How did the reporter find out about that?" and Shinji said, "I don't know. So when we were doing the wedding shoot and then the dating rumor article came out, my face became stiff. The dress was so pretty but I couldn't make it look good. That's because I thought one of them among us was the culprit."
Shinji said, "I still don't know who it was. I wanted to announce it first, but I ended up being in a position where I owed an apology to the fans," and Jang Young-ran comforted her, "You must have suffered a lot."
Shinji continued, "But for me, I'm used to it to some extent. But that person was experiencing it for the first time, so they felt sorry. Anyway, the prewedding meeting video got 6.01 million views. And everyone in Korea who does fortunetelling started looking at our two birth charts."
Shinji said, "Almost all the comments were 'the physiognomy is off,' 'jipaljikkon,' 'Shinji approached him for his money.' But that friend is actually doing well. It was just things like that," and added, "But now it's much better, and what upset me was that untrue things became accepted as facts."
Shinji added, "It's true that that person made a verbal mistake in that moment. Even I thought they should have better expressed, 'I didn't know Shinji was this famous,' or 'I didn't know her influence would be this strong.' Because that scene kept getting clipped and circulated, people were like, 'You don't know Shinji?' Honestly, they're a bit tongue-tied."
Regarding this, Jang Young-ran said, "So it's kind of my excess. I also make unintentional verbal slips. This person accurately grasps those intentions," and Shinji said, "What I overlooked was that because I know myself, I didn't think this broadcast would become an issue even if it aired. And the YouTube production team also overlooked it because they know 'sangmuneo.'"
Meanwhile, Shinji announced her marriage on Aug. 7 to singer Moonwon, who is seven years younger. Afterwards, during the process of revealing on KOYOTE and in the prewedding meeting video that Moonwon was a divorcee, a controversy over his demeanor arose and various rumors followed, and Shinji's side directly refuted the rumors through an official statement.
