Actor Lee Jae-yong expressed his deep affection for the late Lee Soon-jae.
On the afternoon of the 25th, Lee Jae-yong posted a photo with the late Lee Soon-jae on his social media to join the mourning. In the photo, Lee Jae-yong and Lee Soon-jae are side by side and smiling broadly.
He added, "When a junior past sixty asked to be hugged, you embraced me without a moment's hesitation. It seems the same memory happens twice," he began.
He continued, "Previously, Professor Absallov of Russia said that the profession of actor is like a curse, but you showed more than anyone how to overcome that curse, and I suppose I wanted to emulate that attitude of yours during my formative years," he wrote, expressing his respect for the late Lee Soon-jae.
Also, Lee Jae-yong said, "About 20 years ago, I first met you as a role that tormented you and drove you to death. Since then, every time I met you you always reminded me that 'the actor's path' and 'the human path' are not different," he said.
Lee Jae-yong added, "All memories remain in a single photograph. I send you off with respect and love. I pray that you rest in a world of joy and peace. In memory of the late actor Lee Soon-jae."
The late Lee Soon-jae passed away in the early hours of the day. The wake is at Asan Medical Center funeral hall, room 30; the funeral service is at 6:20 a.m. on the 27th, and the burial site is Icheon Edok Paradise.
