'Love Attack' beyond — I hope it becomes famous worldwide!
The group Lisénne (Won-i, Live, Minami, Mei, Jena) held a showcase to commemorate the release of their third mini album 'lip bomb' at Myeonghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, starting at 3 p.m. on the 25th, and unveiled the stage for the title track 'Bloom'.
Lisénne's third mini album 'lip bomb' is a coined word inspired by 'lip balm,' replacing 'balm' with 'bomb' to express an album that combines the soft, penetrating charm of a lip balm with the suddenly bursting vitality.
This album includes a total of five tracks: the double title tracks 'Heart Drop' and 'Bloom,' and the recorded songs 'Love Echo,' 'Hello XO,' and 'MVP.'
Won-i introduced the album by saying, "We made it with the intention of gently wrapping the heart like a berry-scented lip balm we apply to our lips, and spreading Lisénne's scent through our songs," and Minami also expressed anticipation, saying, "We have been running with the concept of scent, and experiencing scent in a new way called 'lip balm' makes me think fans will look forward to our new sides."
Mei, returning after four months, said, "First, I'm really, really excited and also nervous at the thought of showing a new side once again. We prepared hard so we can capture many people with sweeter and more fragrant music, so please look forward to it," and Jena added, "I'm curious and excited to see how people will view this album and the performances."
The main scent of 'lip bomb,' 'Berry,' is a fragrance completed by combining the colors and charms of five berries. Each song features a different berry: cranberry for 'Heart Drop,' blackberry for 'Bloom,' raspberry for 'Love Echo,' strawberry for 'Hello XO,' and blueberry for 'MVP,' blending their distinct colors and charms. It conveys a sincere message about the journey of 'me' and 'us' who bloom trusting themselves, and moving toward the long-awaited moment everyone has awaited.
Minami said, "It may be a personal thought, but I think there's a commonality in how smelling a scent can bring to mind the music you heard at that time, or hearing certain music can recall the scents of that era and bring back memories."
The title track 'Bloom' is a song conveying a message of self-confidence and hope, singing about the courage to bloom as the protagonist of each moment. Its rising melody and expanding sound elevate emotions and deliver a powerful climax that offers both sentiment and energy.
The double title track 'Heart Drop' captures the moment of gradually sinking into a sweet whisper and subtle scent. The track's blend of beat and sense of space, along with its smooth melody, completes Lisénne's signature dreamy atmosphere and draws listeners in with delicate thrills and refined sensibility.
Regarding the selection of the pre-release song among the double title tracks, Won-i said, "There was debate even among us when we first listened. In the end, 'Bloom' got more votes. It was close, but it was slightly more popular. I thought 'Bloom' should be the title track because the melody is more addictive and it doesn't get old," and added, "Actually only Minami and I pushed for 'Heart Drop,'" attracting attention.
Mei, on the other hand, said, "I chose 'Bloom,' but when I first heard 'Heart Drop' I imagined a runway scene; it has a fast beat. So I thought it was more suitable as the pre-release song. I think 'Bloom' fits Lisénne's musical feel a bit more."
Live said about 'Bloom,' a song conveying a message of self-confidence and hope, "We as members listened to these songs a lot while moving in the car; it seems we kept listening to these tracks in the car. I think I gained a lot of strength thinking about filming the music video and other content, and I was constantly excited to share them with fans."
Jena also said, "Because 'Bloom' is such an exciting song, it gave me a lot of energy when I sometimes felt tired or had a hard time. There are many parts where members make eye contact, so I think I drew a lot of strength from that."
With this comeback, Lisénne is determined to surpass the performance of last year's release 'Love Attack.' Won-i said, "We always felt pressured because people embraced 'Love Attack' so much. I think this 'Bloom' should surpass it. I hope our 'Bloom' becomes famous worldwide in terms of chart rankings and beyond."
Lisénne's 'lip bomb,' containing sweeter and more fragrant music, will be released today (the 25th) at 6 p.m.
