Actor Kim A-young, Moon Dong-hyuk and Gong Min-jung, Im Seong-jae have confirmed grants for the 2025 KBS 2TV one-act project "Love: Track".
2025 KBS2 one-act project "Love: Track" is a romance anthology containing 10 love stories of different shapes. For 41 years KBS has carried on the tradition of one-act plays, and adapting to changing times, it is presenting this year a new one-act project "Love: Track" that follows the legacy of the existing drama special. After Lee Dong-hwi, Bang Hyo-rin, Ong Seong-wu and Han Ji-hyun, it revealed an all-time lineup that has heightened expectations among prospective viewers.
On Dec. 17 at 9:50 p.m., "Love Hotel" (directed by Bae Eun-hye, written by Park Min-jung) and "On the night the wolf disappeared" (written by Lee Seon-hwa, directed by Jeong Kwang-soo) will air back to back. Each will tell a story — one about a long-term dating couple and the other about a married couple going through a period of ennui — in different tones to deliver empathy and entertainment.
First, "Love Hotel" (directed by Bae Eun-hye, written by Park Min-jung) is the story of a long-term dating couple who, deceived by familiarity into losing sight of what is precious, get stranded by heavy rain and accidentally enter a motel where they encounter a killer.
In "Love Hotel," Kim A-young plays Yoon Ha-ri, who has been dating Dong-gu for seven years. As moments of exhaustion increasingly outnumber moments of excitement, she faces the crisis of a lifetime when she and Dong-gu encounter a killer. Moon Dong-hyuk plays Kang Dong-gu, a boyfriend who has tailored himself to Ha-ri in every way but reveals an unexpected side at decisive moments. The two, who had been losing sight of each other's value, experience an unforeseen change in their relationship in the extreme moment of confronting a killer. Along with this, the "tiki-taka survival romance" that Kim A-young and Moon Dong-hyuk will present is expected to stimulate both humor and thrill, adding to the drama's appeal.
"On the night the wolf disappeared" (directed by Jeong Kwang-soo, written by Lee Seon-hwa), which is scheduled to air the same day, is about a zookeeper couple on the brink of divorce who struggle to find an escaped wolf and, in the process, face the beginning and end of their love.
In "On the night the wolf disappeared," Gong Min-jung plays Yu Dal-rae, a capable animal communicator and the wife of Dae-gang. Bearing deep-seated emotions built up over a long time and facing divorce, Dal-rae, on the journey to find the wolf, comes face to face again with the meaning of the love she has protected. Im Seong-jae plays zookeeper Seo Dae-gang, who is in a marriage on the brink of divorce. On duty, he makes the decisive mistake of losing the wolf and relies on his wife as he navigates a complex emotional arc. The empathetic couple chemistry that Gong Min-jung and Im Seong-jae will create is expected to offer viewers deep comfort and resonance.
Kim A-young and Moon Dong-hyuk's "Love Hotel," a dopamine-pumping thriller romance, and Gong Min-jung and Im Seong-jae's "On the night the wolf disappeared," which realistically portrays the love and wounds of a married couple, will air on Dec. 17 (Wed.) at 9:50 p.m.
