Han Chang, an oriental medicine doctor and the husband of TV personality Jang Young-ran, said he once opened a large hospital measuring 400 pyeong and later shut it down.
On the 23rd, Han Chang wrote on his social media (SNS), "I ambitiously opened a hospital. But a series of wrong choices piled up and collapsed like dominoes," adding, "It was because I grew complacent, relying only on the titles of 'famous oriental medicine doctor' and 'famous wife.'"
Han Chang opened a 400-pyeong-range oriental medicine hospital in 2021. However, in August, Jang Young-ran said on YouTube, "We transferred and sold the hospital. My husband has been taking a break for two months," and confessed, "I feel sorry because I think he set aside his dream for Jang Young-ran to do better."
Han Chang said, "On the night I thought I had lost everything, I realized while reading a storybook to my children. Even amid a massive failure, I was still succeeding in the role of a 'good dad,'" adding, "Throwing off clothes that don't fit isn't giving up; it was a 'declaration of recovery' that saved me."
He also said, "Sometimes, thanks to the things we lose, we discover what is truly precious. What is the 'real success' that is most precious to you?"
Han Chang married Jang Young-ran in 2009, and they have one son and one daughter. He is said to be preparing to open a small oriental medicine clinic.
