Veteran actor Nampo-dong (birth name Kim Gwang-il) died on the 23rd at age 81.

Nampo-dong debuted in 1965 with the comedy film "I Can Also Date." After that, he appeared in films such as "Whale Hunting" (1984), "Winter Wanderer" (1986), "Two Cops 2" (1996), and "Two Cops 3" (1998), gaining popularity with comic performances.
The dramas the deceased appeared in include "Human Market" (1988), "Faraway Songbagang" (1993-1994), and "Life Is Beautiful" (2001).
The deceased was reportedly diagnosed with terminal liver cancer in 2009 and received a liver transplant. After that, his acting activities decreased, and the film he appeared in in 2022, "Warning: Do Not Play with Emotions," became his final work. In that film, the deceased played Jeon Jong-gu, the grandfather of the main character.
