The group AtHeart made its debut on a U.S. TV program in the shortest time for a K-pop girl group, igniting its global rise.
AtHeart made its first appearance on the famous American Fox5 talk show Good Day New York, which aired the morning of the 21st (local time).
That day AtHeart performed the English version of the title track "Plot Twist," the titular song from their first EP, upon their entrance. Matching the song's development and emotional flow that create a "plot twist," AtHeart delivered sometimes powerful and sometimes graceful synchronized dance and performances.
Nayeon and Michi faced each other and, like interlocking gears, grabbed and spun each other's heads in the "Nami twist dance," and the members heightened immersion with organic movements that showcased perfect synergy between them.
In the interview conducted after the performance, AtHeart introduced their first EP "Plot Twist." Michi said, "It captures the inner world of girls confronting themselves as they are amid unpredictable flows," and expressed a bold aspiration to connect with fans around the world emotionally. Caitlin, who was visiting New York for the second time, said she wanted to try ice skating, creating a convivial atmosphere.
In particular, Good Day New York marked AtHeart's first U.S. broadcast program appearance since debut and, as the fastest-ever overseas TV entry for a K-pop girl group, proudly proved their presence on the global scene.
Having launched major promotions in the United States just two months after debut, AtHeart not only appeared on popular local broadcast programs but also conducted interviews with leading media outlets, radio stations and magazines, underscoring their elevated status.
Even before their official debut, AtHeart had been named by influential overseas outlets including The Hollywood Reporter as one of the K-pop groups to watch in 2025, and with a successful U.S. entry they are expected to bring a new paradigm to the global K-pop scene, drawing concentrated interest.
Meanwhile, AtHeart's debut song "Plot Twist" has gained widespread popularity, surpassing 18.26 million cumulative audio streams on YouTube, 16.10 million music video views and 1.26 million YouTube subscribers.
