MISAMO, TWICE's unit, will release its first full-length Japanese album, PLAY, in February 2026.
The TWICE unit group MISAMO, formed by Mina, Sana and Momo, will release their first Japanese full-length album, PLAY, on Feb. 4 next year. JYP Entertainment posted a teaser trailer and images that raised expectations on TWICE's official Japanese social media channels on the afternoon of Nov. 21 and invited viewers to a special theater.
The video begins with Mina's narration, Welcome to the stage, and passes the posters for their previous works, Masterpiece and HAUTE COUTURE, before a door leading to a theater opens. Mina, Sana and Momo, dressed in glamorous gowns and seated in the audience, look at confident versions of themselves in suits taking the stage. Against the contrast of the two scenes, the video ends with a message that boldly erases the boundary between the two spaces: now your seat might not actually be the audience. reality ends here, and now it's time to step onto the stage.
The images released alongside the video are arranged like a play cast announcement, raising expectations for the birth of a masterpiece that MISAMO will perform. Through their debut album Masterpiece in July 2023 and mini album 2 HAUTE COUTURE in Nov. 2024, they captivated global fans with a classic and sophisticated mood, and they brightly reaffirm their presence with their first full-length album about 2 years and 7 months after their local debut.
Since their local debut in 2023, MISAMO has continued active promotions. In Jan. of this year, they concluded their first dome tour, MISAMO JAPAN DOME TOUR 2024 "HAUTE COUTURE", which drew a total of 250,000 spectators including a solo performance at Tokyo Dome, reaffirming their popularity. Not only active as a unit but also having reached career highs as the global top girl group TWICE, they continue the momentum and open a spectacular chapter with new music in 2026.
