The group fromis_9 answers fans' wait.
The agency Ascend released a teaser video for the remake digital single "White Longing," scheduled for release on Dec. 2, at 9 p.m. on the 21st on fromis_9's official SNS channel.
The video included a line from "Merry Go Round," a track from fromis_9's mini album 6 "From Our 20's" released in June. It ended with someone inserting a cassette tape labeled "White Longing" into a player.
Earlier, fromis_9 hinted in "Merry Go Round" with "before winter comes let's meet again." To keep that promise, they released new music and moved flover (the fandom name) around the world.
This remake digital single is a remake version of Kim Min-jong's 2001 signature song "White Longing," reinterpreted with fromis_9's own sensibility and vocal color. While retaining the original's warm melody and winter lyricism, it adds a more sophisticated arrangement to promise a new charm.
Earlier, fromis_9 drew attention simply by announcing the release of a winter season song. The title track of the mini album 6 they released in June, "LIKE YOU BETTER," entered the Melon top 100 chart's upper ranks for three consecutive weeks and recorded a No. 1 on KBS2 MUSIC BANK, proving their strength as a "summer queen." Fans are paying attention to what kind of sensibility fromis_9 will return with in winter.
fromis_9 transferred to the agency Ascend earlier this year and has been active domestically and abroad. In addition to the new release, they kicked off the 2025 fromis_9 WORLD TOUR NOW TOMORROW. IN SEOUL in August and completed their first world tour successfully over two months, visiting 10 cities in four countries.
Meanwhile, fromis_9, ahead of their comeback on Dec. 2, will meet fans by appearing at the Hanteo Music Festival on the 22nd.
