Broadcaster Kangnam prepared a "surprise event" for his wife Lee Sang-hwa to mark their seventh wedding anniversary, moving viewers.
On the 20th, Kangnam's YouTube channel "Dongnechingu Gangnami" released a video titled "A one-day Yamanashi dessert trip to celebrate the seventh wedding anniversary that only Sanghwa didn't know about."
The video included scenes of the two enjoying a dessert tour in Yamanashi, Japan, along with a secret event Kangnam had prepared secretly.
When they arrived at the last café of the trip and suddenly a video played on the screen, Lee Sang-hwa, looking flustered, said, "What is going on? Hurry up and tell me," and then, "Did you plan some event now…?" she began to catch on.
The video included a letter Kangnam had written himself. Kangnam warmly described Lee Sang-hwa's journey from childhood to becoming a national team athlete, saying, "When Sanghwa was born, her mother, father and older brother were by her side." He added his gratitude and respect for his wife, saying, "I know that scolding me is ultimately for my own good."
As she read the letter, Lee Sang-hwa said, "I'm tearing up," and eventually broke into tears. In addition to Kangnam's message, video messages from Lee Sang-hwa's mother, older brother, sister-in-law and niece followed, making the atmosphere even more touching.
At the end of the video, family members appeared in person to warmly celebrate the couple's seventh anniversary and bring the segment to a close.<
