Stray Kids(Stray Kids) will release their new record SKZ IT TAPE (Skz It Tape) 'DO IT' (Do It) and the double title tracks 'Do It' and 'Sinsennoreum' on Nov. 21.
The new album, which arrives about three months after the full-length fourth album 'KARMA' (Karma) in Aug. this year, is a work that hints at Stray Kids' new challenge after seven years of continuously exploring various musical attempts since their debut.
SKZ IT TAPE is a music series in which Stray Kids unfolds the hottest and most certain mood they want to show now through music, depicting the moment of conviction, "This is it!" (This is it!).
The opener of SKZ IT TAPE, 'DO IT', contains Stray Kids' infinite support and encouragement — "act boldly now with conviction" — and tells their story of enjoying today with that creed and creating a new "IT."
Led by the double title tracks 'Do It' and 'Sinsennoreum', the album includes a total of five songs — 'Holiday' (Holiday), 'Photobook' (Photobook), and 'Do It (Festival Version)' (Do It (Festival Version)) — and once again the group's producing team 3RACHA's Bangchan, Changbin and Han wrote all the songs themselves.
With 56 performances in 35 domestic and overseas regions and the "largest scale to date" world tour completed, entering the Billboard 200, the U.S. Billboard main albums chart, at No. 1 for seven consecutive times — a first in the chart's 70-year history — and making their debut solo entrance into a domestic stadium, Stray Kids, with 2025 punctuating the group's growth, are preparing a comeback that will perfectly cap off their best year with just over a month left in the year.
Bangchan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N, who return as "modern-day immortals," personally share stories about the new album SKZ IT TAPE 'DO IT' and its double title tracks 'Do It' and 'Sinsennoreum.'
Q1. Following the full-length fourth album 'KARMA' in Aug., you're making a superfast comeback about three months later with the new album SKZ IT TAPE 'DO IT.' Please share your thoughts on the comeback.
Lee Know) We wanted to quickly repay the great love we received on the world tour, so we made a fast comeback. Please enjoy the new album with fun.
Hyunjin) It is a superfast comeback, but I think the preparation process was as thorough as for a full-length album. I hope fans really like the album we worked hard on together.
Felix) Because we're coming back quickly after three months, we are also very excited. I want to meet our STAY (fandom name: STAY) as soon as possible.
I.N) You might have been surprised by the superfast comeback, but I'm grateful to STAY for liking and warmly welcoming this comeback too. The comeback is really just around the corner, and I'm very excited and thrilled.
Q2. With this comeback you are launching a new music series, SKZ IT TAPE. Please introduce SKZ IT TAPE. Since 2019 you've developed the Mixtape Project, and following last year's SKZHOP HIPTAPE (Skzhop Hiptape), why does Stray Kids continue to present music series with special names up to this year's SKZ IT TAPE?
Changbin) We wanted to present fans with another element of expectation through a music series that has a different feel from full-length albums and mini albums. Since the album title contains Stray Kids' signature elements, we plan to approach fans with even more varied looks.
Bangchan) I think it's to show the diversity and new challenges of Stray Kids' music. This time, too, we prepared it in a special way in our own style. We put genres and messages that we can newly show into each song.
Han) It's because we really want to continue our color. As time goes by, we want to show a deeper Stray Kids and, motivated by the desire to show a more developed side than before, we prepared a music series called SKZ IT TAPE.
Q3. The first work opening SKZ IT TAPE, 'DO IT', features double title tracks. Why did you choose 'Do It' and 'Sinsennoreum' as double title tracks, and what side of Stray Kids do you want to show through each song?
Lee Know) 'Do It' is a song that means to just do it instead of spending time weighing and thinking about something. It's a song with an interesting theme that we tell ourselves. 'Sinsennoreum' is a fresh, hip-hop-style song, and we wanted to show that this is Stray Kids' "New Pop" (NEW POP).
Seungmin) 'Do It' expresses the message of acting rather than hesitating in a confident and cool way, and 'Sinsennoreum' shows our excitement in a freer atmosphere as if playing. Both songs offer pleasure to listen to and fun to watch.
Felix) The double title tracks show a fresh, hip and relaxed side. The two songs with different charms will well express the "year-end Skz" mood.
Q4. The teasing content in which the eight members are cast as mysterious and weighty "modern-day immortals" was impressive. The stylish comeback visuals drew explosive reactions from STAY. What idea did that concept come from? Also, visually and meaningfully, which member best fits the "modern-day immortal"?
Han) We made the song 'Sinsennoreum' first and then proceeded with album production. Rather than showing "immortals" in the dictionary sense, we adapted and transformed the concept to fit the current era, which led to the "modern-day immortal" concept. I think Chan hyung visually suits the "modern-day immortal" best.
Hyunjin) I think fans liked that we expressed Stray Kids' color, continued from previous albums, in another way. The member who, to me, best fits the "modern-day immortal" is Seungmin. The reason is that Seungmin likes Korean food!
I.N) I'm proud that fans liked the immortal concept expressed in Stray Kids' own colors. In that sense, I want to name all eight members as the ones who best fit the "modern-day immortal" because every member is working hard to become like an immortal.
Q5. Within the group, producing team 3RACHA's Bangchan, Changbin and Han directly participated in creating all five songs again this time. Tell us about the making of the new album. With busy schedules including the world tour and album activities, when were the songs on this album made? What did you focus on most during the process and are there any memorable episodes?
Changbin) Some songs were made a long time ago and others were worked on while on the world tour. The main focus while working on the songs was "how to newly embody Skz's identity." I especially remember revising and refining 'Sinsennoreum' in the dorm during the tour.
Bangchan) I think a great strength of 3RACHA is consistently working and meeting deadlines even with a busy schedule. The three of us work well together, know each other very well, so the working speed is fast and we approach it with enjoyment.
Han) Even if it seemed there wasn't enough time to make songs, when you look closely there was time. We made songs regardless of time and place. At first, constantly making music was sometimes overwhelming. But now, perhaps thanks to the time we have accumulated, it felt somewhat easier. For this album, there were many days we worked casually, doing guide recordings, talking about daily life and joking around.
Q6. While handling busy schedules traveling domestically and abroad, what are the driving forces and sources of ideas that allow you to consistently present new music and images?
Bangchan) The biggest driving forces are Stray Kids and STAY. The desire to show our music coolly on stage and to become great artists that STAY can proudly boast about are always a great source of strength and ideas for me.
Lee Know) I would say physical fitness management. Being physically healthy is the most important. Recently I've been prioritizing body care.
Felix) I would say the harmony and synergy with the members. Because we always want to show STAY new sides, we consult a lot with the members, share various opinions, and work hard for good results.
Seungmin) I started this because I sincerely love and enjoy this work, so even when tough moments come, the love for the work and gratitude to the fans give me the strength to keep going.
Q7. SKZ IT TAPE captures the moment of conviction, "This is it!" Looking back on 2025 — which left major footprints such as a world tour that circled the globe seven times, entering the Billboard 200 at No. 1 for seven consecutive times, a first in the chart's 70-year history, and the first solo domestic stadium entry in seven years since debut — what moments would you call "This is it!"?
Changbin) Above all, I'd pick the 'dominATE' tour. Since most performances were held in stadiums, every time we stood on stage it felt so grand and overwhelming.
Hyunjin) I recall STAY's passion and love that I felt during the stadium tour.
Seungmin) Through the world tour that traveled across the globe, I could see STAY's faces in many places and spread our music more widely, so I'd pick those moments. Every moment on stage was happy.
I.N) Because a stadium tour was my dream, it felt like a moment to shout "This is it!"
Q8. In Oct. you concluded the world tour 'Stray Kids World Tour < dominATE >' at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium. As members said on the final day, it must have been bittersweet. Please share your reflections on successfully wrapping up the world tour, and your impressions of entering a domestic stadium for the first time. What did the encore in Incheon mean to Stray Kids? If there's anything you couldn't fully express on stage, please say it now.
Lee Know) If it weren't for the world tour, we might never have visited many places around the world. Traveling the world, I felt "we are really being loved a lot," and it became a great driving force. The 'dominATE' tour concluded at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, but we'll be waiting to vigorously go meet STAY again.
Felix) The encore of the world tour was held at a domestic stadium. I was very nervous, but we prepared a gift full of our love for STAY and showed it proudly, so it remains a precious memory.
I.N) It was unbelievable to be able to perform on such a large stage. I felt so happy that we beautifully concluded the grand journey of the 'dominATE' tour.
Q9. For Stray Kids, the '2025 year-end to-do list' is likely, above all, 1) actively promoting the new album 'DO IT' and 2) spending happy time with STAY. Could Stray Kids write STAY's '2025 year-end to-do list'? With just over a month left in 2025, please recommend things STAY should "do boldly with conviction."
Han) Stay healthy and avoid getting hurt, exercise, and continue keeping the promises you made to yourself this year.
Felix) Go shopping with STAY friends and eat all the delicious food!
Seungmin) Make a Christmas tree. I haven't done it myself, but I think decorating the tree leisurely, chatting, eating and spending joyful, warm time would be nice.
I.N) I hope STAY will dive boldly into what they want to do without hesitation!
Q10. 2025 was a year in which STAY's passionate love and support were greater than ever. Please give a final word to the fans who always send boundless support.
Bangchan) The year is almost over. I'll recall the good memories of 2025 and show you a great year-end, and together with STAY we'll proudly enter 2026.
Lee Know) 2025 is almost over and this year felt so short because we ran so busy. I hope you also had a happy year, and I wish you even better days next year!
Changbin) I think it was a year when we received a lot of love. I could feel it personally. I'll come back with activities that can repay that feeling! Thank you, STAY♡
