After a 10-year long relationship, another top-star couple has been born. Kim Woo-bin and Shin Mina will hold their wedding next month.
AM Entertainment, the agency of Kim Woo-bin and Shin Mina, announced on the 20th, "Actor Shin Mina and Kim Woo-bin promised to become each other's partners based on the deep trust built through a long relationship," and conveyed the wedding news.
On that day the agency said, "The couple's wedding will be held privately on Dec. 20 in a location in Seoul with family members, relatives and close acquaintances in attendance."
It added, "We ask that you send warm support and blessings for the future of the two who made this important life decision, and we will work so that both can continue to fulfill their primary roles as actors and repay the love they have received."
Before the agency's official statement, Kim Woo-bin posted a handwritten letter first on his fan cafe to announce the wedding. He said, "Yes, I'm getting married. I will build a family with my longtime partner and now try walking together. I would be grateful if you would cheer so that the path we walk becomes warmer."
Kim Woo-bin and Shin Mina met on the set of an advertisement shoot and began a publicly acknowledged relationship in 2015, becoming one of the entertainment industry's representative long-term couples who dated for more than 10 years. Especially, Shin Mina is known to have stayed by Kim Woo-bin's side even when he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017 and suspended activities. She supported him when he returned to acting after his treatment, and the two attended premieres and mentioned each other in interviews to express their affection.
With the wedding news of Kim Woo-bin and Shin Mina, attention turned to previously formed top-star couples. The most recent top-star couple was Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, who married in March 2022. The two worked together in the film Negotiation and the drama Crash Landing on You, developed into a couple, acknowledged their relationship and married in 2022, and welcomed a son that November.
