'Hip-pop Princess' launches a new mission that lets viewers see the contestants' wit at a glance.
Tonight (20th, Thursday) at 9:50 p.m. (KST), episode 6 of Mnet's Unpretty Rapstar: Hip-pop Princess (hereafter "Hip-pop Princess") will air, featuring the third track competition 'True Battle' that begins anew after the first elimination announcement.
The 'True Battle,' contested for two new tracks, is a team-based diss battle. With another elimination expected from the losing team, a tense confrontation with no room for retreat is anticipated. Notably, for this 'True Battle,' Bada, leader of BEBE, the winning crew of Street Woman Fighter 2, and a dancer, joins as a special judge, raising expectations. Bada, the figure behind the 'Smoke' challenge that swept Korea, will overwhelm the scene with a performance of the 'Smoke' dance upon appearing.
In hip-hop, battles are more than simple skill contests; they are a culture of self-expression and communication with the world. Among them, diss battles are a spotlighted big match, considered an indispensable element of hip-hop. It is crucial to seize the initiative with witty lyrics and impactful performances and to command the atmosphere by drawing audience response. Since performances that showcase ideas are key, the contestants' abilities are expected to shine on this stage as well. Anticipation is rising over who will become the owner of this new original track.
Meanwhile, the third round of voting in 'Hip-pop Princess' is heating up with support and interest from global fans. This third vote runs until 12 p.m. on the 27th (KST) and can be participated in via Mnet Plus in Korea and global regions, and via U-NEXT in Japan.
