Group VVUP will be reborn as "Super Model."
VVUP (Kim, Pan, Suyeon, Jiyoon) will release their first mini album "VVON (Bon)" today (the 20th) at 6 p.m. on various music sites.
The title track "Super Model" is a rhythmical dance track that blends electronic drums, dance synths and pitched guitar. As the song title suggests, VVUP is expected to deliver a completely different charm from what they have shown so far by putting the majestic energy reminiscent of a super model into their music and performance.
The music video released with the song unfolds a fateful narrative in which the four members, moving between reality and fantasy, become super models after fierce competition. With a distinctive aesthetic, it is expected to maximize VVUP's differentiated charm and once again imprint a powerful presence.
In addition, "VVON" includes five songs and instrumental (inst.) versions of each track for a total of 10 tracks: "House Party," which captures a surreal party we all enjoy while wearing "filters" in an electronic genre; "INVESTED IN YOU," a hip-hop track featuring sleek production based on the pentatonic scale; "Giddy Boy," which adds brilliant synth sounds over dynamic bass and drum beats; and "4 life," which conveys surging energy as alluringly sweet yet driving emotion in an R&B sound.
"VVON" is VVUP's first mini album since their debut. The album title was created by combining the three words "VIVID," "VISION" and "ON," and it carries the meaning "the moment the light turns on." Pronounced it connects to "Born," and in spelling it connects to "Won," through which VVUP develops a narrative of being born, awakening and overcoming.
In particular, VVUP received strong attention from domestic and international fans by consecutively releasing teasing content inspired by four distinct dream omens: a sky with thunder and lightning, a blooming lotus, a jewelry box filled with gold and silver treasure, and fallen chestnuts. VVUP raised expectations by previewing a well-made album that harmonizes unique storytelling, dazzling visuals and musical growth.
