Solo singer Gyu-bin has signed a joint production and management contract for her Japan debut with SML (Sony Music Labels), under SONY MUSIC GROUP (JAPAN), Japan's largest music corporations, and specialist management company Cube, and will begin full-scale activities in Japan.
Gyu-bin, who debuted in January 2024 with the song "Really Like You," received an explosive response across Asia, including Japan, upon her debut. She reached No. 1 on the Spotify viral charts in seven Asian countries and No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Heatseekers chart, and ranked high on major platforms such as Apple Music Japan and Line Music, achieving an unprecedented global result for a female solo rookie who is not from an idol group.
SML (Sony Music Labels) highly evaluated Gyu-bin's stable live performance, her musical capabilities as a singer-songwriter, her sophisticated visuals, and her natural English and Japanese communication skills. In particular, they judged that in Japan, the world's second-largest music market where artists of various genres coexist, a female solo artist who possesses vocals, performance, language and visuals is a rare position, and decided to sign her immediately to Epic Records, the top label under SML (Sony Music Labels).
Gyu-bin released her third Korean single, "CAPPUCCINO," on Oct. 28 and is actively promoting, and on her birthday, Nov. 28, she will release the Japanese version of her debut song "Really Like You" as a pre-debut single ahead of the official debut. Her official Japan debut is targeted for the first half of 2026, and SML (Sony Music Labels) and Cube plan to strongly support Gyu-bin's entry into the Japanese market by carrying out various online and offline promotions from the pre-debut stage.

Meanwhile, the Japanese version of Gyu-bin's Japan pre-debut single 'Really Like You' is scheduled to be released at midnight on the 28th through various online music sites.
