At the end of last month, actor Jang Dong-ju, who worried the public after posting "I'm sorry" on his personal social media and then cutting off contact, spoke directly after 20 days.
On the 20th, Jang Dong-ju bowed his head, writing on his personal Instagram, "Recently, due to my private situation, communication has not been smooth, and I sincerely apologize for causing concern to drama officials, the production company, my agency, family and acquaintances."
Jang Dong-ju said, "During this time several circumstances overlapped and I needed some time to regroup. The parts where communication was delayed are entirely my responsibility, and I will not make excuses for any reason," and added, "I started acting at the young age of 15 and have run without rest, so I think I failed to properly reflect on my condition and mind."
He continued, "This incident made me deeply realize once again that my behavior affects the people around me," and promised, "From now on, in any situation I will communicate more clearly and responsibly, thoroughly prepare for the duties I am given, and manage myself more firmly so I can maintain trust on set."
Jang Dong-ju added, "From next year I will concentrate on acting with a healthier mindset," and added, "I will meet you with the first broadcast drama "From today I am human, but" on Jan. 16, 2026. I ask for your interest."
