Lee Ji-hye revealed that she had a philtrum reduction surgery following a thread lift.
On the 20th, a new video titled "I have something to say.." was released on the YouTube channel 'Not an annoying attention-seeking sister'.
That day Lee Ji-hye said, "We recorded yesterday. My face did become prettier, it did, but I host the show. When you speak, pronunciation is important, and this is new. Yesterday I felt this isn't right. This is unprofessional. I also felt very sorry to the writer."
Lee Ji-hye said she ultimately decided to have the philtrum reduction surgery, saying, "While I'm broadcasting my pronunciation can sometimes slur, and my face image might change a bit so people might feel uncomfortable and think, 'What is this?' I want to apologize in advance."
She added, "They say a lot of people are doing it these days. They say it's trendy. My philtrum, no lie, is 4cm."
She continued, "Sorry, but my philtrum is long, really long; it's also gotten longer as I've aged. And among the comments on the thread lift, what kept catching my eye was people telling me to get a philtrum reduction. That was the final touch. I want to reduce my complex, and they said if I had a philtrum reduction I'd look prettier."
Earlier, Lee Ji-hye had shown a much prettier appearance after the thread lift. However, the thread lift made her philtrum longer, which caused pronunciation problems. Lee Ji-hye said, "At that time I was very shaken. I had wanted it before but couldn't summon the courage, and after gaining confidence from the thread lift I went once more."
Lee Ji-hye said she had been contemplating the philtrum reduction for more than a year, saying, "Despite that, I came to think, 'This isn't right,' and this requires up to a month of recovery. If I had fully recognized that in advance, that would be my fault. I want to apologize in advance because I worry it might be a nuisance while broadcasting."
