"Park Jung-min has a wonderful melodrama face; I hope she gets cast a lot." Singer Hwasa and actor Park Jung-min heated up the Blue Dragon Awards with a show-stopping barefoot spirited congratulatory performance.
On the 19th, the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards took place at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. The event featured actors Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon serving as co-hosts again this year.
In the middle of the second part that day, an all-time congratulatory performance appeared. It was Hwasa. Hwasa, who previously completed a historic congratulatory performance for the Blue Dragon Awards with her former group Mamamoo, returned this time as a solo artist to the Blue Dragon Film Awards with her new song "Good Goodbye."
Dressed in a gown like a scene from the music video and performing live, Hwasa elicited admiration with an elegant appearance as the lyrics describe. Furthermore, the sight of Park Jung-min watching Hwasa's performance from the audience evoked a scene from the music video. This was the aftereffect of Park Jung-min actually appearing in Hwasa's "Good Goodbye" music video, which sparked intense interest with the two of them resembling a melodrama movie.
As Hwasa stood up from her seat, scenes from the music video featuring Park Jung-min were projected behind her. When Hwasa even moved as if to go down into the audience, Park Jung-min appeared in front of her.
On stage, Hwasa showed her fighting spirit barefoot under the dress. Park Jung-min, wearing red shoes, handed them to Hwasa like a gift. Hwasa, smiling as if the lyrics hinted at a dignified breakup, tossed the shoes that were Park Jung-min's gift, and the two then performed a goodbye routine that drew admiration. Finally, Hwasa handed the microphone to Park Jung-min and left the stage. Park Jung-min shouted "Take the shoes!" which added to the laughter.
To this, Lee Je-hoon said, "Previously Park Jung-min once asked me why she only does works that make her suffer when she has a wonderful melodrama face, and I want to return that remark. Park Jung-min has a wonderful melodrama face. Please use her a lot," and Han Ji-min also chimed in, "Many actresses around me dream of acting in melodramas with Park Jung-min. I want to see Park Jung-min in a romance role in the near future." Park Jung-min herself covered her mouth with her finger toward Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon, making a motion as if to tell them to stop talking, which drew laughter.
