After 10 years of a public relationship, they finally reaped the rewards. Actors Shin Mina and Kim Woo-bin announced their marriage, heralding the birth of a top-star couple.
On the 20th, AM Entertainment officially announced the two actors' marriage, saying, "Actors Shin Mina and Kim Woo-bin have promised to become each other's partners based on the deep trust built over their long relationship."
After the agency's announcement, Kim Woo-bin posted on the official fan café, "Yes, I'm getting married. I will now try to walk together with the person who has been my partner for a long time and with whom I have built a family. We would be grateful if you would cheer for us so that the path we walk becomes warmer."
Shin Mina and Kim Woo-bin acknowledged their relationship in 2015, and this year marks their 10th year together. Quietly and steadfastly keeping their places, they showed affection for each other and conveyed endless trust. They drew attention as a long-lasting couple representing the entertainment industry, and the two became role models by continuing good deeds such as donations, seemingly influenced by each other.
In particular, Shin Mina and Kim Woo-bin overcame the adversity of battling cancer. It is widely known that in 2017 Kim Woo-bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, suspended his broadcasting activities and devoted himself to treatment, and in 2019 he was declared fully recovered. During his battle, Kim Woo-bin underwent three rounds of chemotherapy and 35 rounds of radiation therapy, and Shin Mina quietly stayed by his side and supported him when his body and mind were both struggling.
After Kim Woo-bin's recovery from nasopharyngeal cancer, traces of trips they took together were also spotted. They also supported each other as lovers and actors by sending coffee trucks and the like to the filming sites of each other's projects, becoming solid pillars for one another.
Even as a decade passed, Shin Mina and Kim Woo-bin's love did not change, and it has borne fruit. In 2025, the 10th year since they acknowledged their relationship, the two will hold their wedding at a location in Seoul.
The agency said, "The couple's wedding will be held privately on Dec. 20 in a location in Seoul with family members from both sides, relatives and close acquaintances in attendance," and added, "We ask that you send warm support and blessings for the future of the two people who have made this important life decision."
They also promised to remain active as actors after the wedding. The agency said, "Both will continue to be faithful to their main work as actors and will strive to repay the love they have received."
Meanwhile, Shin Mina will appear in Disney+'s The Remarried Empress, scheduled for release in 2026, and Kim Woo-bin will appear in tvN's new drama Gift, scheduled for release in 2026.
