Wavve is exclusively launching the BL drama "Thunderclouds and Rainstorms," which has a solid fanbase.
The BL drama "Thunderclouds and Rainstorms," which will be released on Wavve at midnight on the 28th (Friday), is a BL drama that deals with the intense romance of young people whose relationship, which began with virginity, changes into jealousy and possessiveness. Based on the popular web novel by writer Chesim, it tells the story of cousins Lee Il-jo and Seo Jeong-han, who reunited at the funeral of their late uncle. Director Min Chae-yeon, who directed the BL dramas "Happy Merry Ending" and "The Love of the Underdog," will direct, aiming to portray delicate emotional lines and psychological descriptions realistically and beautifully.
For the lead role in "Thunderclouds and Rainstorms," Yoon Ji-sung, a former member of the boy group Wanna One, has been chosen. After his idol activities, which gained sensational popularity at home and abroad, Yoon Ji-sung built his acting skills by appearing in the dramas "I will be your night," "Adieu Solo," and the musicals "Return," "Those Days," "Something Rotten," and "Happy Oh! Happy." In "Thunderclouds and Rainstorms," he plays Lee Il-jo, a penniless man who, after the father he cared for dies tragically, cannot find a purpose in life, heralding a passionate romance.
Meanwhile, for the role of Seo Jeong-han, the group heir who impulsively takes Lee Il-jo into his home, rookie Jung Ri-woo, who gained recognition in musicals and web dramas, was cast and will delicately depict the wavering emotions in a relationship that began with virginity. In addition, a solid supporting lineup elevates the work, including Hwang Seong-yun of "New Recruit 2," Jang Won-hyeok, who showed presence in "Secret Affair," and Lee Dong-ju, who was active in Squid Game Season 2·3.
Meanwhile, Wavve has been continuously launching web dramas across various genres, from the Gen Z-targeted youth romantic comedy "Namju Search," starring Gal So-won, Lee Jin-woo and Cha Jun-ho, to the health x romance drama "Bulk Up," and the BL drama "Thunderclouds and Rainstorms," broadening viewers' content choices. "Thunderclouds and Rainstorms" will have episodes 1 and 2 released on Wavve at midnight on the 28th (Friday), and will be exclusively released twice a week for a total of four weeks.
