'Trust and listen' MONSTA X's Hyungwon shows off a different sense of variety.
According to his agency Starship Entertainment, Hyungwon will be a regular on the web variety show Ttorora on the YouTube channel SBS KPOP X INKIGAYO, which premieres today (20th).
Ttorora is a web variety show that chronicles singers Lee Chang-seop, Mamamoo (MAMAMOO) Solar, and MONSTA X's Hyungwon's trivial, topsy-turvy cross-Canada travelogue. The three transform into 'K-pop aurora hunters,' searching for the missing aurora against the backdrop of vast nature and embark on a cheerful journey.
Through his agency, Hyungwon said, "While filming Ttorora, I had many truly different experiences and made many special memories. I sincerely thank Chang-seop hyung, Solar nuna, and the hardworking Ttorora production team and staff." He added, "Please show a lot of interest and love for Ttorora, which is released every Thursday."
Recently, various teaser videos were posted through the YouTube channels SBSKPOP X INKIGAYO and SbS variety taste, and Hyungwon drew smiles from fans with his maknae charm. In particular, when Hyungwon took out his phone and said, "As an intelligence agent, I will identify the location there for you," Solar said, "As expected, an early adopter," and Lee Chang-seop praised, "It's almost a quantum computer," raising expectations for the 'beloved maknae' position.
Short-form content also attracted attention. Hyungwon showed off his cuteness through the 'Barabam challenge,' and in another video he guided Lee Chang-seop and Solar by saying, "When I count one, two, three and say 'et?r!,' you do it," then teamed up with Solar to prank Lee Chang-seop and brought laughs.
Hyungwon completed 1 year and 6 months of military service and was discharged after finishing his term in May, and he has continued active activities since. In September, MONSTA X held full-group activities with the Korean album The X (THE X), and on the 14th he expanded his activities by releasing the U.S. digital single baby blue (baby blue). He also appeared on MONSTA X's own content Mon Meok-eo Do and various web variety shows, proving his distinctive variety skills.
