BLACKPINK member Jennie, who has shown a global presence as a solo artist, and aespa, which has firmly established itself as a leading fourth-generation girl group, will attend the Melon Music Awards, which showcases artists' annual achievements to the world through Melon data and fan votes.
Kakao Entertainment's music platform Melon announced the final lineup for The 17th Melon Music Awards (2025 Melon Music Awards, MMA2025), to be held Dec. 20 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, and announced the appearances of Jennie and aespa.
Jennie released her first solo full-length album, Ruby, in March, which captured her identity and limitless musical possibilities and colored the world with her own hues. Ruby was repeatedly selected by leading international outlets as one of the best albums of 2025, earning rave reviews in the global music market. The title track like JENNIE received explosive love from listeners worldwide with confident lyrics and a powerful performance that only Jennie can deliver.
In particular, like JENNIE entered the Melon Top 100 chart immediately after its release and has remained on the chart for nine months, and it proved its strong streaming power by reaching No. 1 on the Melon daily chart 14 times in total.
Jennie, who had a dazzling year encompassing her identity as a solo artist and her career as a BLACKPINK member, is expected to heat up Gocheok Dome with the influence and charisma that overwhelmed the global music scene on the MMA2025 stage.
aespa, which achieved three consecutive mega-hits last year with Supernova, Armageddon and Whiplash, won seven awards including grand prize at MMA2024 and solidified its status as a leading fourth-generation girl group; this year they are continuing their unstoppable rise by expanding their musical signature of "steel taste" into different textures.
Dirty Work, which showcased a restrained dirty steel taste, and Rich Man, which implemented a more intense steel taste with electric sound, both reached No. 2 on the Melon Top 100 and No. 1 on the HOT100, once again proving aespa's singular presence.
aespa toured major regions such as Japan and Thailand on their third world tour and raised expectations by announcing plans to expand their tour next year with a Japan dome tour and across Asia. As an artist that grows every time, interest is focused on what kind of stage aespa, appearing at MMA2025 for the third consecutive year, will present that will exceed fans' expectations.
With Jennie and aespa added to the roster, MMA2025 completed a star-studded artist lineup that includes G-DRAGON, Park Jae-beom, 10CM, Zico, EXO, WOODZ, IVE, Han Ro-ro, BOYNEXTDOOR, RIIZE, PLAVE, NCT WISH, ILLIT, Hearts2Hearts, KiiiKiii, ALLDAY PROJECT, IDID, and ALPHA DRIVE ONE, drawing strong anticipation from music fans.
All MMA2025 ticketing will be conducted through ticketing platform Melon Ticket.
