The group VVUP opens a new chapter with a differentiated worldview.
VVUP (Kim, Pan, Suyeon, Jiyoon) will release their first mini album VVON at 6 p.m. on the 20th through various music sites.
VVON is an album title born from the combination of the three words VIVID, VISION and ON, meaning the moment when light is vividly switched on. In pronunciation it is similar to Born, and in spelling similar to Won, which inspired VVUP to unfold a narrative of beings that are born, awaken and overcome.
With original storytelling promised, we highlighted three points that make VVUP's first mini album unavoidable to anticipate.
# 4-in-4 dream-of-birth worldview…differentiated storytelling
In successive teasing content, VVUP put forward a unique worldview themed on "dreams of birth," drawing the attention of music fans at home and abroad. The four distinct dreams of birth — a sky struck by thunder and lightning, a brightly blooming lotus, a jewelry box filled with gold and silver treasures, and a fallen chestnut — continued into a VVUP-style fantasy narrative that moves between reality and illusion, delivering differentiated charm.
# 'Super Model' visuals…excellent concept execution
The title track is Super Model, a rhythmic dance track that blends electronic drums, dance synth and pitched guitar. As the song title suggests, VVUP will take on a glamorous yet edgy visual transformation befitting super models and demonstrate excellent concept execution, offering a fresh charm never seen before.
# participation in songwriting on recorded tracks…evolved musical capabilities
VVON contains five songs including the title track Super Model, House Party, INVESTED IN YOU and 4 life, plus instrumental (inst.) versions of each track for a total of 10 tracks. Among them, Thai member Pan participated in writing the Korean lyrics for the recorded track Giddy boy, showcasing evolved musical capabilities.
VVUP begins preorders today (the 19th) for the mini album VVON through various album sites. The physical album of VVON includes a range of items that increase fans' collectible value, such as an 88-page photobook, photocards, an accordion book, postcards, a mini poster and eight die-cut sticker types.
