APRIL alumnus-turned actress Yun Chae-kyung and former national badminton player Lee Yong-dae have been swept up in dating rumors.
On the 19th, Yun Chae-kyung's agency PA Entertainment told OSEN that (Yun Chae-kyung and Lee Yong-dae's dating rumors) are private matters and difficult to confirm, expressing a cautious stance.
Earlier, one media outlet reported that the two have been dating for about a year. According to the report, they overcame an 8-year age gap and developed into a couple, and they have been continuing a serious relationship to the point of introducing each other to acquaintances as "lovers."
In particular, Lee Yong-dae married actress Byeon Soo-mi in 2017 but divorced after about a year, citing personality differences and other reasons.
On the Sept. episode of My Little Old Boy, Lee Yong-dae, who had been single for seven years, confessed his feelings at the time of the divorce in response to a junior's question about whether he was thinking of remarrying: "The shock from the divorce was greater than when I failed at badminton. I wondered if there would be anyone who would accept me." Lee Yong-dae candidly shared his concerns: "There was a time I thought about remarrying before I got too old to build a stable family. Still, in the end I worried I might fail at marriage again. I worry about how my daughter will view the person I date."
Since a long time has passed after the divorce, reports say that his relationship with Yun Chae-kyung is also being pursued cautiously and carefully.
However, Yun Chae-kyung's agency maintained a stance of neither confirming nor denying the dating reports, saying, "It is a private matter so it is difficult to confirm."
