The group Stray Kids (Stray Kids) once again shone as a "global stadium artist," drawing foreign media attention with its world tour.
According to the Top 20 Global Concert Tours chart released by U.S. concert trade publication Pollstar, Stray Kids rose to No. 2, the highest rank among K-pop artists. The chart ranks tours based on average ticket revenue by region.
Stray Kids concluded their domestic and international world tour Stray Kids World Tour 'dominATE' ('dominATE')—a 56-show run across 35 locations—last October with an encore performance at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, touring massive venues worldwide and setting several records. Of the 35 host locations, they performed stadium shows at 28 and drew tens of thousands of spectators per show.
They recorded "firsts for a K-pop artist" at Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., Wrigley Field in Chicago, Rogers Centre in Toronto, Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, and Stadio Olimpico in Rome, and proved their influence by achieving the largest scale and highest attendance for a K-pop act at Stade de France in Paris.
This year Stray Kids completed their largest-ever world tour and delivered all-around success, including making new history on the U.S. Billboard main album chart, the Billboard 200, with their fourth studio album KARMA, released last August. Notably, KARMA reached No. 42 on the latest Billboard 200 chart dated Nov. 22, U.S. local time, marking 12 consecutive weeks on the chart and continuing its long-term success.
Riding that momentum, they will release their new album SKZ IT TAPE "DO IT" at 2 p.m. on the 21st (midnight Eastern U.S. time) and carry on the excitement. Capturing this hottest and most decisive moment in music, the album features five new songs produced by the group's producing unit 3RACHA—Bang Chan, Changbin and Han—including the double title tracks "Do It" and "Sinsunnolgeum".
