Singer and actress Arin and Chuu's agency will take legal action over sexual harassment and defamation.
ATR P said on the 18th through its official channel, "We have confirmed a recent increase in malicious posts targeting our artists Chuu and Arin, including sexual harassment, defamation, insults, malicious slander and spreading false information. These actions constitute clear violations of the law, and we will pursue strong legal action without any leniency or settlement," it said in an official statement.
It added, "To protect our artists, we continuously monitor domestic and international online communities, social media, and video platforms to collect evidence, and under close consultation with a specialized law firm we will take all possible civil and criminal measures regarding all confirmed malicious posts and comments and illegal acts in general. We will also thoroughly trace and strictly deal with any attempts to delete evidence or evade responsibility," it emphasized.
It said, "While each case may take as little as several months and as long as more than a year to conclude, we reiterate that our determination to respond to infringements of our artists' rights remains firm even if it takes some time," conveying its stance on protecting the artists.
