'Growth-oriented all-rounder' group POW continued to resonate strongly by releasing a behind-the-scenes video capturing every moment of their music show promotions for the new song 'Wall Flowers.'
POW on the 18th released 'POW NOW – Wall Flowers behind' through their official SNS, concluding about three weeks of music show promotions and shared candid reflections and vivid moments offstage with fans. The video has received strong responses by featuring a variety of scenes from filming locations, waiting rooms, practice rooms and meetings with fans, from Mnet's 'M Countdown' first broadcast to SBS' 'Inkigayo' final broadcast.
The video begins in the waiting room for the first broadcast of 'M Countdown.' Dongyeon could not hide his excitement, saying, "I hope it looks cool. Please look forward to the upcoming stages." Jeongbin and Hyunbin exchanged playful lines toward each other, such as "Yochi hyung's eyes look like flowers" and "It's like my blanket," continuing a cheerful back-and-forth. After their first stage, POW gave each other feedback and pledged, "We want to create more satisfying stages. We will become a growing POW."
On the MBC 'Show! Music Core' stage, POW's detailed chemistry and events for Power (their fandom name) stood out. Hyunbin revealed a hairstyle change, saying, "There were many requests to see blue hair," and the members warmly communicated with fans by giving yellow gerberas, hot dogs and drinks they had prepared themselves.
On MBC every1's 'Show! Champion,' they debuted the stage for 'Celebrate' in addition to 'Wall Flowers,' revealing their emotional feelings. In particular, the members repeatedly held meetings and monitored performances, and together said, "We want to make better stages" and "We want to show Power even better sides."
The final stop was the 'Inkigayo' site. POW concluded the promotions meaningfully by taking first place on the 'hot stage' with 'Wall Flowers.' Yochi said, "It's the last broadcast, and I'm so happy to receive an award like a gift." Dongyeon said, "I learned a lot and grew through diverse challenges during this promotion. It was meaningful because we could communicate, such as holding a fan meeting. We'll return more stylishly for the next promotions, so Power, don't go anywhere and stay by our side," offering a heartfelt farewell.
During this promotion, POW showcased more mature visuals and performances and honed their skills with a sincere message. 'Wall Flowers' reached No. 10 on the iTunes U.S. K-pop chart and No. 1 across all genres in Thailand, and ranked high on global charts in countries such as Germany and the Philippines, receiving a strong response overseas. Having continued nonstop promotions this year with 'Gimme Love,' 'Always there,' 'Being Tender' and 'Wall Flowers,' POW further solidified the label 'growth-oriented all-rounder.'
Meanwhile, after successfully concluding the 'Wall Flowers' promotions, POW has begun preparations for their next comeback.
