Comedian Lee Yong-sik conveyed his tender feelings for his granddaughter Lee-el and shared an update on his condition.
On the 18th, a video titled 'What was Lee-el's reaction when she saw autumn leaves for the first time in her life?!' was posted on the YouTube channel "AppoTV."
In the released video, Lee Yong-sik, along with his daughter Lee Soo-min, son-in-law Won-hyuk, his wife and in-laws, all gathered for his granddaughter's first autumn foliage outing.
Going on an outing to Yeonhui-dong with his family, Lee Yong-sik said, "Today is a very meaningful day," showing excitement for Lee-el's "first time seeing autumn leaves." After eating kalguksu, he cradled his granddaughter on a street awash with autumn foliage and stayed there for a long time without leaving.
Holding Lee-el tightly, Lee Yong-sik confessed, "I wish time wouldn't pass. I wish time would just stop here. I don't like time passing," then added, "But you should grow up. Hurry up and grow," unable to hide his affection.
The "proud grandfather" side of him looking at his granddaughter remained unchanged. Toward the camera he boasted, "This is my granddaughter," and when his son-in-law lifted Lee-el high and his wife said, "Our Lee-el should grow this tall too," Lee Yong-sik drew laughs by saying, "If possible, don't pressure her by talking about height. Height is something that weighs on my mind."
Viewers who watched the video left supportive messages such as, "How happy will the baby be when she sees this video when she grows up," and, "You've lost a lot of weight and look healthier."
Meanwhile, this year Lee Yong-sik became a topic of conversation after deciding to diet when his daughter Lee Soo-min and son-in-law Won-hyuk welcomed their first daughter, losing a total of 19kg. Recently he even shared proof of completing a 7km run with his granddaughter, showing his determination to be a "healthy grandfather."
