Actor Ma Dong-seok shared his thoughts on designing I AM BOXER.

I AM BOXER is a large-scale blockbuster boxing survival show personally designed by world-renowned action star and boxing gym owner Ma Dong-seok, who has 30 years of experience, to revive K-boxing.
The scale befitting a large-scale blockbuster boxing survival show is a viewing point, with collaboration with art director Lee Young-ju, who produced sets such as Physical: 100 and Culinary Class Wars, collaboration with the country's top experts on boxing rings, and the use of a 1,000-pyeong set where the main match takes place and a 500-pyeong boxing gym set to enhance the viewing experience. In particular, the final winner will receive prize money of 300 million won, a champion belt, and a luxury SUV.
Former Tongyang champion Kim Min-wook, Kim Dong-hoe, who won 14 consecutive national sports festival titles, national sports festival gold medalist Guk Seung-jun and Lee Chae-hyun of the Military Athletic Corps, action actor Jang Hyuk who dreams of becoming a boxer, Korea's first UFC light heavyweight fighter Jung Da-un, and UDT-origin artist Yook Jun-seo are among the lineup of I AM BOXER.
I AM BOXER attracted much attention from the planning stage as it is the first variety program Ma Dong-seok has attempted since his debut. Ma Dong-seok actually began boxing in middle school and is so devoted to boxing that he is a boxing coach who teaches boxing to fellow actors and athletes, the honorary vice president of the Korea Boxing Association, and also a boxing promoter.
Ma Dong-seok said, "Many people helped, but this is a stage I have dreamed of too much. I wanted to create a stage where boxers and those who love it can compete in good faith, and it has actually become a reality, so I am deeply moved. I am grateful. I feel good."
Kim Jong-kook said, "I have been doing boxing since my early 20s up to recently. Korea's boxing was much loved even in my childhood. I had hoped the atmosphere of loving boxing would be revived, and I am grateful to have the opportunity. Personally, this is a show I have a lot of affection for," he said.
Dex said, "You may have seen me getting hit a lot, but this time I was cast as an MC to watch and cheer. I have no experience in boxing, but I fell in love with it. I discovered a new charm," he said.
tvN's I AM BOXER will premiere on the 21st at 11 p.m.
