Ballet dancer and YouTuber Yoon Hye-jin expressed joy after announcing that her daughter Ji-on was accepted to Sunhwa Arts Middle School.
On the 19th, Yoon Hye-jin posted a photo on her social media with the caption "Let's go get the uniform ♡ Sunhwa student." In the released photo, Ji-on is posing in a Sunhwa Arts School uniform. Seeing Ji-on like this, Yoon Hye-jin said "I want it."
Earlier, Yoon Hye-jin drew attention when she revealed that her daughter Ji-on was taking vocal training to prepare for entrance to an arts middle school. Through her channel, Yoon Hye-jin said, "Wasn't elementary school years nice? Then you can just give up on the arts middle school now, you don't have to do it," but Ji-on showed firm determination, saying, "This degree of difficulty is nothing. Isn't this basic rather than being just okay? Didn't I do this expecting it? I did it as if my life depended on it. It's not that terribly (hard) so far," which drew admiration.
Yoon Hye-jin also supported her daughter's entrance exam both materially and emotionally. She expressed surprise, saying, "Because of this child, it's the first time I've moved like this and it's the child's first time too, so we're both quite surprised now, but Ji-on seems to want to go to the arts middle school more than I thought. She works so, so hard. Her grades really improved a lot, and when she herself felt something and when a goal she wanted became very eager and firm, she did it without being told — I truly felt that."
Yoon Hye-jin also said, "That was my thought. It really becomes hard. When they go to middle and high school it gets more competitive and you can't not do it. My belief was to let them play without thinking for the first 10 years after they're born. If I had pushed her to do things she didn't want from a very young age and forced her again during exams, she might have fallen apart. She would have been stressed and her personality would have worsened," revealing her educational philosophy.
She continued, "Many mothers like me have the belief that they want their children to play. But because of the surrounding environment there's a pressure to make them do it, and I think it's good to reconsider that you don't have to be swept up in that by watching me," and emphasized, "Of course Ji-on could fail this time. But I'm totally okay if she does. I've seen this child's effort, and I saw that she is a child who can steel herself and do it, so parents don't need to worry too much. If necessary, she seems to handle it on her own."
Meanwhile, Yoon Hye-jin married actor Uhm Tae-woong in 2013 and has a daughter, Ji-on.
