Amotti, the winner of "Physical: 100 Season 2," addressed misunderstandings about his nationality.
On the 18th, the YouTube channel "TEO" released a new video titled "Wanna fight? Wanna bleed? Wanna talk about the Physical behind-the-scenes?!" In this episode of "Salon Drip," Kim Dong-hyun and Amotti, representing the Korean team of "Physical: Asia," appeared and shared their stories.
That day Amotti explained his connection with Kim Dong-hyun, saying, "Actually he is an athlete I really like and an idol. We first met on 'Physical:100 season 2'. Since then we quickly became close."
Kim Dong-hyun said, "Before that I didn't know (Amotti) well. Even when I heard an introduction I thought, 'Amotti?'" and said, "What, is that a foreigner? I didn't know. He performed amazingly, and at that time I wasn't exercising much, but he was a huge stimulus for me."
He continued, "I wanted to train and learn like this person. So I went to the gym and trained thinking, 'This is how you get stronger.' We trained like athletes preparing for the Olympics next month. It was so cool that we grew closer training together."
Kim Dong-hyun said of Amotti, "He is good at social life, has a good character, and understands duties toward seniors and juniors. I like those things," and Jang Doyoun said, "Ah, so that's it, he's good at being straightforward," which drew laughter.
Kim Dong-hyun said, "He doesn't like to be nice only to me. I see how he is there too. How he treats the younger ones," and described him as "a friend who always has the charm to lead people."
Jang Doyoun, looking at Amotti, said, "It's my first time meeting him, but he kind of looks like a Japanese child actor," and Kim Dong-hyun agreed, saying, "Oh! Oh!"
Amotti said, "I sometimes search related keywords by myself. Amotti nationality, Amotti mixed race come up. People have asked about my nationality. Mother, father, grandmother, grandfather. Everyone I know is Korean."
