'Rookie of the year' CORTIS has remained on the U.S. Billboard charts for 10 consecutive weeks.
On the 18th (local time), according to the latest chart released by U.S. music publication Billboard (Nov. 22), CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho)'s debut album "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES" landed at No. 7 on the "world albums" chart. The album entered the chart at No. 15 (Sept. 20), reached a peak of No. 2 (Sept. 27, Oct. 4, Oct. 11, Oct. 18) and has been enjoying sustained success for 10 weeks.
Interest in CORTIS has extended beyond the U.S. music market to South America. They graced the latest digital cover of Billboard Brazil released on the 17th. Billboard Brazil introduced the group, saying, "In the fiercely competitive K-pop scene, CORTIS, who debuted less than two months ago, are drawing attention and asserting their presence with their skills." It praised the group, saying, "The five members break the mold with intense stage presence and charisma, showing a distinctive personality among rookies who debuted this year."
Billboard Brazil added, "The newly debuted CORTIS already has many fans in Brazil. Although they have not yet started touring, Brazilian fans are already waiting for them." It went on to highlight the fervor of the local fandom, which reacts explosively to even a single word from the group or a favorite food mentioned by them.
Earlier, prominent U.S. outlets such as Rolling Stone, Forbes, The Hollywood Reporter, tmrw magazine and Hypebeast have noted CORTIS as "rookie of the year." Five major Japanese sports newspapers also showed strong interest by covering news of their local showcase in print. South American media have also covered them in depth, underscoring the group's distinct presence.
This attention stems from the notable achievements CORTIS has produced in the global market. Their debut album not only remained on the U.S. Billboard charts for 10 consecutive weeks but also reached No. 15 on the main album chart, the Billboard 200 (Sept. 27). The album has also won great love from music fans worldwide, surpassing 100 million cumulative streams—the fastest among groups that debuted in 2025—on the world's largest music streaming platform Spotify (Oct. 12).
