JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) boy group NEXZ released the music video for the album track "Next To Me," a new song that feels like a youthful film.
NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Huey, Yuki) released their third mini album Beat-Boxer on Oct. 27 and are conducting comeback activities. JYP released a teaser for the music video of the album track "Next To Me" on its official social media channels before the album announcement, and on the 18th in the afternoon posted the full video.
The music video offers a fresh visual charm that exudes innocent and natural appeal. It depicts the awkwardness and complexity experienced when facing emotions felt for the first time, and the process of friendship and growth that blooms within that newness. The youthfulness stands out in the seven boys' relaxed and free demeanor when they are together, and the performance, which harmonizes detailed expressiveness and clean dance lines, heightens immersion.
Placed as track 5 on the new album, "Next To Me" is a song whose lyrics sensually portray the moment of falling in love with a pure heart, and whose harmonies layered over a bouncy piano melody create a warm atmosphere. It was created with NEX2Y (fandom name: NEXTY) in mind, capturing the excitement of moments shared with fans, and all members participated in writing the lyrics, Tomoya contributed to composition and arrangement, and Haru participated in composition, adding sincerity.
NEXZ performed the title track "Beat-Boxer" on KBS 2TV MUSIC BANK on the 14th, MBC Show! Music Core on the 15th, and SBS Inkigayo on the 16th. Praised for solid dance skills and earning nicknames such as "next-generation performance powerhouse" and "a group known for great stages," they have drawn responses like "NEXZ, who always delivers the best performances" and "a NEXZ stage you can trust."
