Meanwhile, Lee Neung-gu, who came to Seoul with only 8,000 won and fell in love with rice cakes, recounts an anecdote about wandering to find a sales channel and meeting the owner of a snack shop. He recalled, "I went to a ramen shop and asked them to mix the rice cakes I had into the ramen and make it. They ate it so deliciously that they told me to sell it. That's how 'tteok-ramen' was born."
