SBS new Fri-Sat drama 'Taxi Driver 3' has abruptly revealed the powerful villains who will shake the new season in a special poster.
The new SBS Fri-Sat drama 'Taxi Driver 3' (written by Oh Sang-ho, directed by Kang Bo-seung), which premieres on the 21st, is a series based on the webtoon of the same name, and it is a private revenge-for-hire drama in which the taxi company Rainbow Transport, shrouded in mystery, and taxi driver Kim Do-gi complete revenge on behalf of wronged victims. Because the previous season ranked fifth (21%) among all terrestrial and cable dramas broadcast in Korea since 2023, standing out as a successful example of a Korean-style seasonal drama, viewers' attention is focused on the return of the confident mega IP Taxi Driver.
Meanwhile, the 'Taxi Driver 3' side has captured attention by releasing posters of six villains returning on a spectacular scale. Previously, in the 'Taxi Driver' series, vicious villains left an impact, including Baek Hyun-jin as Park Yang-jin, the king of illegal videos; Cha Ji-yeon as Baek Seong-mi, the ultimate villain matron; and Shim So-young as Madam Rim, the voice-phishing villain, leading to the thrilling exploits of Kim Do-gi (Lee Je-hoon) and the Rainbow Transport family. As a result, viewers are curious about what incident episodes and villains will appear in the new season.
The released poster foretells the emergence of villains who will strike season 3 with even more heinous crimes, catching the eye. They project a strong presence even in silhouette alone, already creating a suffocating tension. This raises curiosity about which actors will stand in fierce opposition to the 'Rainbow five' as antagonists in each episode. In addition, the atmospheres each villain emits are wildly different. From a villain exuding a chilling savagery with a heavily tattooed torso to a female villain who gives off an ice-cold aura behind a delicate, lovely silhouette, the presence of villains with different characters stimulates interest. Attention is focused on what gruesome incidents these six villains will use to once again send viewers' anger levels soaring.
Meanwhile, director Kang Bo-seung previously said in an interview, "Because Doki's sub-character and action change according to various villains and are watching points of 'Taxi Driver', we worked hard on building each case's villain character. As part of that build-up, we put a lot of artistic effort into producing the spaces where the villains' incidents take place. Also, to prevent the excellent acting energy of the actors who joined as villains from dissipating, we tried to position the camera succinctly and accurately," he hinted. This raises expectations for the first broadcast of 'Taxi Driver 3' to see how the 'Rainbow five' will deliver an even more thrilling catharsis alongside the strengthened villains.
