The group ILLIT revealed suggestive hints surrounding the new single's music video, raising anticipation for their comeback to the utmost.
ILLIT (Yuna, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) posted three moving posters for the title track of their single album 1st 'NOT CUTE ANYMORE' on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel on the 17th.
It is short but intense and shocking. In the first video, in a silent, snowing landscape, the solitary figure standing with their back turned creates a strange tension. In the second video, Moka, with boldly bleached hair and a chic expression that overwhelms the atmosphere, fires a gunshot and captures attention. In the final video, with a mysterious ringtone, a pink tombstone inscribed with "CUTE IS DEAD" appears, amplifying curiosity about the full version.
ILLIT receives intense attention whenever they release content. Previously, they presented fresh charm to global fans with concept photos featuring kitschy and wild styling that broke from their existing image. Here, by showing an unexpected new side through moving posters, they proved their limitless concept versatility.
The expansion of their musical spectrum is also noteworthy. The title track "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" is a song that intuitively expresses my desire not to be seen as just cute, and was produced by Jasper Harris, a popular producer who reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard "Hot 100" and was nominated for a Grammy. In addition, domestic and international singer-songwriters such as Sasha Alex Sloan and youra participated in the work, and are expected to draw out ILLIT's diverse charms.
Following the title track moving posters, two official teasers will be unveiled on the 21st and 23rd. The long-awaited new release and music video will be released at 6 p.m. on the 24th.
