On Nov. 17, 2025, aespa marked its fifth anniversary. aespa, which debuted on Nov. 17, 2020, left a strong impression with "Black Mamba" and went on to release hits such as "Next Level," "Savage," "Supernova," "Armageddon," "Whipflash," and "Rich Man."
To mark their fifth anniversary, aespa released "aespa 2025 special digital single - SYNK: aeXIS LINE," which contains solo tracks by each member. This digital single includes the solo songs performed by Karina, Winter, Giselle and Ningning at aespa's third solo concert.
On the fifth anniversary itself, disappointing news was also reported. It was announced that Winter would miss the concert due to flu symptoms. SM Entertainment said, "After the performance the previous day, Winter visited a hospital and was diagnosed with cold- and flu-like symptoms," adding, "Following the doctor's recommendation for sufficient rest, it was determined that participating in the scheduled sound check event and concert would be difficult."
Although it was disappointing, Winter held a cake celebrating the fifth anniversary with the other members and expressed gratitude to fans. aespa's official social media account showed images of the group enjoying the party. While holding cakes made as their respective characters, Winter wore a thick coat and a mask indoors, evoking sympathy.
