Comedian Shim Hyun-seop candidly shared the realistic hardships(?) of life six months into marriage.
Recently, a video titled "I left home six months into marriage" was posted on the YouTube channel "Jung Young-rim Shim Hyun-seop." In the video, Shim Hyun-seop, carrying a pile of trash to sort for recycling, was stopped at the front door by his wife Jung Young-rim.
Shim Hyun-seop complained, "I take out the food waste, sort the recyclables, do the dishes... After I come back, whether I do one thing first, what does that matter?" His wife Jung Young-rim immediately pointed out, "You didn't do the dishes," drawing laughter.
Then Shim Hyun-seop playfully voiced a real complaint. "The hardest thing is... if she wants a baby, she wakes me up. If she wants a baby, she wakes me up," he said, lamenting and teasing his wife, who is preparing for pregnancy, asking, "Why won't you let me sleep?" Jung Young-rim laughed and retorted, "I let you sleep," showing the couple's playful chemistry.
As he went out to throw away the trash, Shim Hyun-seop also revealed advice from marriage veterans. He laughed, saying, "I met some neighborhood men who said, 'I've been married six years, I've been married 19 years... you just live like you're dead.'" Jung Young-rim laughed and replied, "Do you do that too? Live like you're dead?" Shim Hyun-seop said, "Working outside and taking photos must be tiring. You have to sympathize with that."
When Jung Young-rim affectionately told Shim Hyun-seop "See you later" as he was about to take out the recycling, he playfully answered, "See you tomorrow," bringing laughter to the end.
Meanwhile, Shim Hyun-seop and Jung Young-rim held their wedding in April this year, and they share their newlywed life on YouTube, drawing empathy from many viewers.
